Joseph Kony, leader of the LRA, has abducted 66,000 children and forced them to be child soldiers. His actions have caused over two million people to flee their homes. 1
During the Holocaust, Adolf Hitler brutally murdered about six million Jews, plus around five million other innocent people, bringing the death toll to eleven million. 2
Over one million Americans have died in all of America's wars, from those fought to gain freedom to those fought to defend our country from those who would like to destroy it. 3
In America alone, since 1973, over fifty million babies have been legally murdered. 4 The leader of this unfathomable slaughtering?...Satan.
If an atomic bomb were to wipe out the inhabitants of these eighteen blacked-out states, the number of those killed would equal the number of babies that we have aborted in our country up to the present. 5
The total American deaths from the War on Terror is approximately 8,800 at present. 6
About 3,700 babies are killed every day in the United States. 7
Every 5 days, we kill twice as many innocent Americans as were killed since the War on Terror began.
Every single day, more humans are annihilated in the name of "choice" than were tragically killed on 9/11--a single terrorist attack that instantly horrified the world. 8
But we are not horrified.
"The Hunger Games," a futuristic story about a Colosseum-like death game, a new movie which seems to be so popular in our country--and somehow I don't wonder why--isn't so futuristic after all, it's happening. Every 24 seconds, another child's life is senselessly ended as we watch--some silently in opposition, some gleefully with full approval--from the sidelines. 9
But this isn't a movie--it's life. This isn't computer-simulated horror--it's real.
Organizations like Planned Parenthood pretend to be interested in reducing the number of abortions and unwanted pregnancies. But if you read Abby Johnson's book, unPLANNED, or listen to a podcast from her, you'll know the truth.
They're hungry for more. More dead babies means more money. If it sounds sick, that's because it is.
And people today wonder why all the tragedies, the natural disasters, the shootings, the fighting, the economic challenges, the corrupt government. Why? God has let us choose to legalize this evil in our country, and He's letting us reap the consequences of our choice.
Why should it matter if someone wants to shoot and kill other human beings, if it's legal to kill the most innocent of all humans, the defenseless, voiceless unborn?
Please don't misunderstand me. I'm not approving of such atrocious tragedies. I'm merely pointing out that abortion is far worse,... and yet it's being ignored.
You could say that it's just my opinion that abortion is murder. You would be wrong. It my very strong belief that abortion is murder. But according to the dictionary, an opinion is "a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty."
Some people may still make excuses and try to avoid the truth, but, if we're honest, we have to admit that life begins at the moment of conception. Not before, not after. The term "abortion" is itself evidence of the implications. The root word "abort" means "to end." What is there to end but life?
If you think about it, unborn babies need nothing more than the rest of humanity, "nourishment, shelter, [and] protection (love)" 10
Sure there are cases where a woman is victimized or her life is in danger (although that is usually not the case when it comes to abortion), but that doesn't change what is right and what is wrong. It doesn't give the victim the right to victimize her own offspring. 11
What it boils down to is truth. Many people don't believe there is any truth. The thing is, that doesn't make it any less real. A little kid can hide their face and believe that nobody can see them, but that doesn't change reality. We can pretend truth doesn't exist, but it does despite our foolishness.
So, what or who determines truth? The U.S. Constitution, an important, but man-made document? The government? ummm... I'm kind-of glad that the answer is no! The UN? Double no! Psychologists? R u kidding?
Ok... do we need to keep searching? All of these answers are ridiculous! Can fallible humans or man-made laws determine such a permanent, unchanging thing as truth? No way! The only One Who has the power and authority to bring truth into existence is Himself the Truth--God.
Jesus--God the Son--said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)
So what does the Truth say in His inspired Word--which can be nothing but truth?
"Thou shalt not kill." (Exodus 20:13)
It's plain and simple. You can't get around it.
So what do we do?
We need to stand up and speak out for the voiceless. Check out this link for 35 ideas--

"Silent Cry" by Robert Pierre
A great injustice is happening, we can't look away
Innocent lives are broken right here, every day
There's no use pretending that we are unaware
Nothing here is changing til somebody cares
Stand up, unite
Every heart that beats tonight
Stand up, it's time
Listen to their silent cry
Before the dawn of creation they had God's eye
Now they're not even given one chance at life
We can't keep pretending that we are unaware
Nothing here is changing if we don't care
Stand up, unite
Every heart that beats tonight
Stand up, it's time
Listen to their silent cry
Life is a gift
Not choice that we get
No mistake ever made
Made a life to erase
Let's quit believing the childish lie that, if we look away, the problem won't exist. Let's quit pretending we can't hear their silent cry and talk with those who can't hear it yet. We are the ones God has called to save His children from this abomination.
And we must pray. Like never before.
If we do nothing, what will change? Nothing.
I was once a fetus, and so were you.

To see a young boy concerned about an issue like this is heartening in itself. The world has surely not lost all hope.
ReplyDeleteI believe that if all those who claim to follow Christ would take a stand and speak out for God's children, we could ban abortion. Has it ever been done? Not yet. But there are so many mothers who choose to save their child when the see that there is an actual living baby growing within them. People need their eyes opened to the truth!
